Thank you for opening up here and telling me about your son and your trials and tribulations with his autism.
It is Sunday evening your time in Maine while I am typing this, and Monday morning for me in Asia. Here's wishing you a super week ahead with great progress made on working toward the attainment of your goals.

Wow... 5 hours is a long journey to visit your son. In which town/city is he living and where do you live? My eldest brother has lived in Michigan for 25 years now, since 1984. He loves the 4 seasons there. For me, I currently live in Philippines where we only really have 2 seasons: hot and dry... and hot and rainy!

I still need to add a lot to my page. I am interested in meeting people who are positive and who can mentor me and I can learn from and in turn I plan to pay it forward.
I am married to a wonderful husband and have two great sons. The youngest is very musical. He plays the trombone in the school band and jazz band and plays in the Community band when he has time. He is 14 and aspires to be a music teacher one day. He is very kind and helpful with his older brother. I am very lucky. My older son has Autism and he has done Therapeutic Listening in the past and really benefits from vestibular input and we have seen a huge difference with the help of his Occupational Therapist. He is a very concrete thinker but has come a long way with some great people on his team! Unfortunately, right now he is hospitalized with severe OCD and he is not currently doing his listening. I have devoted my life to learning all I can about autism and work with special needs preschool children. I have returned to school to work on my Social Work Degree. Life is very busy, family, work, school and working with the team to get my son better! I am very excited to get my goals written out and be around supportive positive people. This looks like a great place to do this. I haven't looked through the materials offered yet or ordered the program but I do intend to do so. Hope to make many lasting friendships here!
